We were really excited to run at the National Training Center in Clermont. This is a training facility that local Olympic athletes train at. This was the third race in a series, but we were only able to do the 10K due to scheduling. We knew this course would be hilly, but it was definitely more hills after mile 4. There was a 5K that started at the same time, for a small local race this caused no problems. Our suggestions for next year would be to place a water stop halfway through the small there and back stretch, instead of at the turn around, so runners can pass it twice without extra staffing. Positives were cold sponges, friendly volunteers, and nice medals. Katie PR’d the race, but we wouldn’t recommend it for a proof of time with all of the hills and it was .1 miles longer than our watches!
